With a little Love from your friends

Love is an american psychedelic band from Los Angeles. The band firstly realized 3 Albums from which Forever Changes was the most welcomed by the public. Then Bryan almost died from an overdose and decided to stop everything while John and Kenny were put in jail after several hold-up in doughnuts stores, trying to get some money for their daily shots of LSD or heroïn. Arthur Lee is at this time alone and has a contract with Elektra for a last album. He releases in 1969 the album Four Sail, that never convinced the public. I picked today’s song from this album, the one that Arthur Lee wrote with a complete new line-up. While not beeing a success, I think this album is very good. And because I didn’t write anything on this blog for a long time, I decided to propose you to listen to 2 songs of Love today. The overture song of the album is named August and is a mix of fusion, hard rock, psychedelic riffs with a cool melody and a few lyrics. Love - August [See post to listen to audio] The 2nd song is the least serious of Love works. Talking In My Sleep is a mix between funk and blues. I hope you’ll appreciate it.
