Don’t Nuke’em

There once was a time when US Presidents thought it would be a wonderful thing to nuke Vietnam, Cambodia and all the non-English speaking rice-eating countries around these ones because, as they said, their interests (the Americans’) were endangered by the communist plague.
But some Anglo-Saxon hippies thought that blasting whole countries maybe was a bit of an overreaction and they decided to sing against that. Among them was Graham Nash who was part of Crosby, Stills, Nash (& Young) and who released his first solo album in 1971: Songs for Beginners. The first track of this LP is entitled “Military Madness” and basically tells how war might tear one family apart. [See post to listen to audio] Graham Nash - Military Madness
